Interested in Volunteering?

Volunteers are a critical component to making this individualized education possible for each student. We have weekly, monthly, and occasional volunteer opportunities for all ages and groups! Our current volunteer opportunities are listed below. To get monthly updates on all of Rivertree's volunteer needs, email Abbie Pitzer.

"The King will reply, β€˜Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’"

– Matthew 25:40

We are SO excited to invite our wonderful volunteer community back on campus, starting in September. Our students and staff have missed the physical presence of our volunteers and the loving and encouraging energy that you all bring with you. We have MANY opportunities for you all to volunteer with us. We look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you!

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB LEADERS

One of our largest needs for this school year is for volunteers to help in our aftercare program. This is a great opportunity to share your love for a hobby or interest. We would LOVE to have 2 clubs per day for the children to choose from. These clubs can be almost anything, such as Bible, sports, the arts, praise dance, STEM, Legos, nature, health, etc. Clubs meet from 4:30-5:30 pm daily. This is a great opportunity for high school and college students!

DAILY HELPERS

We have many opportunities to support our students and staff at Rivertree Academy daily. The following are just a few examples:

Classroom helpers - assist teachers with lessons, one on one time with students who need extra help, organizational tasks, etc.

Reading buddies - one-on-one or small group reading time with students

Math buddies - help students with math lessons, play math-geared games

Science buddies - help students with science lessons, play science-geared games

Lunch/Recess helpers - help distribute lunches, monitor students during lunch and recess, assist with clean up

STUDENT MENTORS

Get paired with a student to encourage and support throughout the school year. Mentors will meet one Friday afternoon each month and will be provided with goals and objectives and planned activities.

After completing three simple steps, you can begin volunteering with our students! Abbie Pitzer will be in touch to guide you through this process:

  1. Complete the volunteer interest form

  2. Complete a background check

  3. Complete the Ministry Safe video training

"Serving as a classroom volunteer at Rivertree Academy over the past five years has truly been a privilege. I was able to spend time with a class from their first grade year through their fifth grade graduation last spring, and along the way I watched them learn, develop confidence, become leaders, and encourage one another. I have been blessed far beyond any contribution I may have made while serving in the classroom. I am thankful for Rivertree and that I get to be a small part of this outstanding school community."
